Recognized as making Limoges, France the world capital of porcelain, Haviland brings the studio’s vision to life with a counter-relief engraved shade inspired by the marks of a rain stick. The striking shade hangs in the air with a fine cord to the ceiling and the backplate, suggesting the suspension carillon’s bells. When turned on, the piece creates a warm ambient glow. The light produces a graphic silhouette accented by the subtle striations of the porcelain.
