Laura Kirar’s playfully theatrical woven natural lampakanay palm forms – as seen with Mar Floor Lamp and Mar Pendant Chandelier - call to mind the classic era of the 1930’s in the coastal south of France. Held together by an iron rod finished in antique brass. Kirar pays homage to the details of casually curated Mediterranean interiors with their influences of aged formal furniture, the micro-climate combinations of tropical plants and pines, the passion for all things exotic from carved Spanish vargueño to primitive and sculptural African chairs
